sign-me 2FA - Accessibility Statement
This statement was created on November 11, 2024, and updated on December 4, 2024. The assessment is based on a self-evaluation conducted in November 2024.
D-Trust GmbH is committed to making the sign-me 2FA app accessible in accordance with national legislation implementing Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies.
We are continuously working to improve the accessibility features of the sign-me 2FA app. So far, we have not been able to make all content digitally accessible. When creating new content, we aim to make it as accessible as possible.
This accessibility statement applies to the currently available version of this app in the Play Store and App Store: sign-me 2FA.
Non-Accessible Areas
Based on the review, the mobile application is not fully compliant. The following content is not accessible:
Android
- Some structured content is not labeled with headings.
- The reading order of the screen reader on the help information page is confusing: once an accordion element receives focus from the screen reader, focus shifts to a visually hidden element. Regardless of whether the accordion section is open or closed, all content in that section is read aloud. Subsequently, the visible text can be focused again and will be read aloud again.
- The active tab at the bottom of the page is only identifiable by color, with the contrast difference between active and inactive tabs falling below the required value. This makes it difficult for users with visual impairments to identify the active tab.
- On some pages, when focusing on a link with a screen reader, both the "link" and "button" roles are announced.
- Some links, such as "Terms of Use" and "Privacy Policy," as well as certain buttons, are not activatable for screen reader users.
- In the tab bar at the bottom of the page, the screen reader does not announce either the position of the current tab element or the total number of tabs.
- On the help information page, the status of buttons that open help sections is not communicated to screen reader users.
iOS
- On some pages, visually hidden and non-informative content is read aloud by screen readers, which can confuse screen reader users.
- In some cases, buttons and links receive a visually hard-to-detect keyboard focus.
- On the signature release page, it is not possible to focus on and activate interactive elements using the keyboard.
- On some pages, non-interactive elements like text, headings, and logos receive keyboard focus.
- On the help information page, the visible label "Open Settings" does not appear in the accessible name of the button because it is overwritten by "Open System Settings for Permissions."
- After activating one of the three tabs "Start," "Help," and "Info" at the bottom of the page, the state change is not announced by the screen reader.
- After activating the "Toggle Input Visibility" button, the state change is not announced by the screen reader.
- The system setting "Bold Text" is not supported by the app.
